We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to celebrate our wedding than The Merribee! The venue itself was absolutely breathtaking, and from the moment we first saw it, we knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our special day.
Throughout the planning process, the team were so supportive and helpful, and we always felt we were in such good hands. A huge thank you to the entire team and all the staff for being so wonderful, attentive and helpful both in the lead up to our wedding and on the day itself.
We felt so well looked after from the start to finish, and we can certainly say that The Merribee will always hold such a special place in our hearts.

We recently got married at The Merribee and honestly had the best weekend of our lives. From the moment we arrived, we felt so incredibly looked after and special.
A huge shoutout to Tish, the events coordinator, who went above and beyond for us. We didn’t realise just how well we would be cared for, but every little detail was taken care of, and anything we needed, Tish was already on top of it. She made us feel so special and completely at ease throughout the entire day.
Our ceremony and cocktail hour were originally planned to be outside, but due to the weather, Tish made the last-minute decision to move everything to the Maywild Cottage. It turned out to be the most beautiful, intimate setting and was even more special than we could have imagined. Sometimes the unexpected really does turn into something magical.
The entire venue is stunning, the staff are incredible, and the whole experience exceeded every expectation we had. We couldn’t recommend The Merribee highly enough and are so grateful for the memories we made there. Thank you for giving us the most perfect wedding weekend!

Celebrating the most special day of our lives surrounded by the people we love, in a place as beautiful as Merribee, was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Rain or shine, we truly couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue or team to share it with.
From welcoming our guests, to the cosy comfort of the Mayfield Cottage, wandering through the French-inspired gardens on George Street, walking down the aisle surrounded by the breathtaking roses of the Rose Garden, and dancing in the rain beneath the Crepe Myrtles, every moment felt so incredibly magical.
Tish and Ashley, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us feel so cared for, accommodated, and celebrated every step of the way. Your warmth, kindness, and the love you put into what you do made our day even more special than we ever imagined.
We already can't wait to come back one day, walk these beautiful grounds again, and relive all the memories we made here.

The Merribee truly is a dream venue. After our very first visit we cancelled all of our other venue appointments and booked our wedding day on our dream date. Choosing The Merribee was the easiest decision in our wedding planning.
What followed only confirmed what we felt that first day. The venue continued to get better every time we visited. The gardens were beautifully manicured, the accommodation was exquisitely designed and the inclusions were generous. Even the small improvements being made on quiet weekends, the kind of thing most couples would never notice, told us how much care goes into the property. The Merribee team went above and beyond at every stage and put 110% into making sure that every detail of our day was perfect.
Our Event Coordinator made the entire lead-up effortless and was extraordinary on the day itself. The Venue Manager and the wider Merribee team backed her up at every turn. Together they made us feel completely looked after from start to finish. We also brought in our own planner and stylist Laura from Pretty In White, and the Merribee coordination team worked beautifully alongside her from the very first site visit through to the end of the night.
Staying on the property in the days around the wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Waking up the morning of the wedding surrounded by the gardens, with our families and bridal party in the on-site accommodation just steps away, set the tone for everything that followed. On the day itself, we were treated like royalty. We were relaxed at every turn and able to enjoy the whole experience without thinking about anything other than each other and our guests. Our wedding felt as much like a celebration of the venue as it did a celebration of us.
We had our ceremony at the Cricket Oval, cocktails in the Lookout Garden and dinner under the Crepe Myrtles. We even had guests on the day ask whether there was another wedding happening at the same time, because of the beautiful way The Merribee uses more than five unique spaces throughout the day. Each one was set up perfectly for its moment and the Merribee staff and our wider vendor team worked seamlessly between them so that everything ran smoothly and looked beautiful at every step.
We also have to give credit to Merribee's in-house catering and bar team, who were exceptional. The food and drink were extraordinary across the entire day. The raw bar at cocktail hour, the shared feast-style dinner and the dessert moment that brought our guests back together were all standouts that people have not stopped talking about. The silver tray service was a beautiful touch throughout the day, from the welcome champagne through to the matchboxes and cigars at the end of the night.
The Merribee does not belong only in Australia. It is a global wedding venue and it deserves to be spoken about as one of the best in the world. To the entire Merribee team, thank you for one of the best days of our lives.

We recently had our wedding at The Merribee, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more.
The venue is absolutely stunning. We fell in love with it on our first visit, and it was even more beautiful on our wedding weekend. The gardens, accommodation and grounds created the perfect setting for us and our guests.
A special thank you to Tish, who was such a pleasure to work with. She was communicative, organised and supportive, helping everything run smoothly in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. Her calm, professional and caring approach made a real difference.
The food throughout our stay was exceptional. Every meal was beautifully prepared and delicious, and our guests are still talking about it. The staff were also wonderful - friendly, attentive and always willing to help.
We couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate such an important day. The Merribee truly gave us the wedding weekend of our dreams, and we are so grateful to the entire team for making it so special.

Our wedding at the Merribee was INCREDIBLE! The day was perfect and we wouldn’t change a thing!
The grounds speak for themselves they are beautiful so much love and effort is put into them, and it shows when you’re there you are transported to an oasis. The love and effort doesn’t stop at the gardens every staff member is wonderful from the day we checked in to the day we checked out there was always someone on hand to help. The staff were extremely professional yet personable and all out guests from the wedding and especially those that stayed on site can’t stop raving about them especially Tish!!! Tish was incredible we cannot thank her enough she went above and beyond in the lead up and throughout the 3 night stay at the venue. It was a pleasure for Tish to play such a huge part in our weekend she felt like the 6th bridesmaid that I didn’t know I needed and I had very good bridesmaids so big shoes to fill! From our first zoom call interaction we felt a sense of relief that we were in amazing hands! We were not wrong about that feeling as absolutely every aspect of our weekend was perfect! We wouldn’t have known if anything went wrong on our wedding day as Tish was there throughout making sure everything ran smoothly.
We didn’t leave the venue for 3 nights the accommodation is amazing not only is it beautifully styled and maintained but it was stocked with everything you could possibly want or need.
The wedding day itself was everything we could have dreamed of and more! Our beautiful ceremony in the rose garden with reverse aisle. (There were still roses in flower in autumn) this truly shows the time and expertise that go into the grounds!
Cocktail hour throughout the gardens, dinner under the crepe myrtles and dancing under the stars we were so lucky to get to spend the whole day in the beautiful gardens.
The food and drinks were wonderful multiple guests commented that they had never had such delicious food at a wedding before! The extremely generous share style was perfect under the trees it was an intimate and romantic dining experience. The flow between the dinner and dancefloor was great allowing all guests to move around freely and enjoy the evening!
We also had a recovery day on the cricket field and can’t thank the incredible team for accommodating everything we wanted throughout the day. Tish and the team repurposed all our wedding flowers and set up the most incredible recovery with drinks and Mexican feast. All our guests are still raving about the wedding and especially the recovery!!
It was definitely the best wedding weekend we have been to, even if we are a bit bias we would do it all again in a heartbeat. Just hoping we get to be a guest at this incredible venue some day in the future!!! 100% recommend
